NOTICE TO ALL TOURISM OPERATORS APPLICATION FOR REGISTRATION AND LICENCES FOR ALL TOURISM OPERATORS-2013
Notice is hereby given to all Tourism Operators (including Accommodation Facilities) operating in Tanzania Mainland that, they are required by Tourism Act 2008, Section 10 (1) – (2); 21(1) and 31 (1) to REGISTER and APPLY for TOURISM OPERATING LICENSES. The current Tourism Registrations and Licenses Expire 31st December, 2012. Application forms for new Registration and Licenses are available at: Tourism Division head office Mpingo House and Arusha Zonal office at TANAPA building or can be downloaded here. The duly filled forms should be submitted to the Tourism Division, Mpingo House Dar es Salaam and Arusha Zonal office before 30th November, 2012. The tourist activities and facilities that are required to be registered and licensed include the following:

Mountain Climbing or Trekking
Car Rental/Hire
Travel Agency
Hunting Safaris
Air Charter Services
Hot Air Balloon Safaris
Horse Riding
Boat Safaris
Town hotels

Camps
Motels Caravan and Camping Sites
Exclusive Hotels/Lodges
Villas,
Cottages and Serviced Apartments and any other related business in the tourism industry.
NB: Bring originals of your Certificate of Registration and Tourism Lisence. Also attach copies of all documents required in the registration and lisence applications forms.

Air Tanzania (ATC) Set to return to the sky

Air Tanzania’s Acting Chief Executive, Captain Milton Lazaro, yesterday announced in Dar es Salaam that the airline would resume operations with their leased B737-500 this Friday, now that the discussions with the Dubai-based lessor have apparently been ended. The airline will attempt to recover some level of market share following their unceremonious withdrawal of services some months ago, which left their already soiled reputation in further tatters, as passengers scrambled at the time to get refunds from them to permit buying tickets on Precision Air, which immediately added extra flights to Kilimanjaro, Arusha, and Mwanza. In fact, it was learned that it will be the Dar es Salaam – Kilimanjaro – Mwanza route that ATCL wants to tackle first, and information from travel agents in Dar speaks of throw-away fares on offer for the service.
